JMac wins contract to build Legacy Brisbane House

Building on the BMD Group’s proud history of supporting Legacy Brisbane, JMac has signed an Early Contractor Involvement (ECI) agreement to build the new Legacy House Brisbane.

The new Legacy House will be located on the site of the original Red Cross building operating out of the Greenslopes Hospital Precinct in South Brisbane.

The ECI Agreement represents two years of extensive planning, negotiations, design work, contract development and tendering, with the project receiving support from the Federal Department of Veterans’ Affairs and Brisbane City Council.

Drawing on an integrative model of care, the house will link key veterans support agencies with families seeking care. Staff from RSL Queensland and veterans support charities, Open Arms and Mates4Mates, will be located inside the house, all working collaboratively to offer a seamless service for those in need.

JMac’s General Manager, Jason Lindsay said he was immensely proud of our continued association with Legacy and supporting its efforts in assisting veteran’s family members.

“We’ve now commenced the 12-week ECI period where we will work together with the team to identify savings in costs and time and provide constructability advice prior to works commencing in January next year,” Mr Lindsay said.

The new Legacy House is set to support thousands of families in need to ensure no one is disadvantaged due to their veteran family member’s service.
