Outcomes

  • JMac worked with Douglas Shire Council as a new client, building local supplier and subcontractor relationships in a new regional market.
  • The team engaged a local arborist to establish tree protection zones around well-established trees, balancing environmental protection with construction requirements.
  • The project recorded 9,418 working hours with no reportable incidents or near misses.
  • Douglas Shire Council coordinated a cultural induction with a local Yirrganydji Elder before works commenced, with Indigenous spotters in place for deep excavation works associated with the balance tank installation.
  • The completed splash park provides a safe water play area for local and visiting families, with the finished precinct generating positive feedback from the client and community.
