About the project
JMac delivered a new clubhouse and amenities building at Gainsborough Greens in Pimpama for City of Gold Coast. The project provided facilities for local sports groups using the adjacent fields, including team and referee changerooms, office space, a canteen, a meeting room, public amenities, storerooms, landscaping and turf.
Scope
Construction of a bespoke steel trussed roof and honed concrete block structure
Construction of two large changerooms with sliding doors to allow the spaces to be converted into four smaller changerooms
Delivery of office space, a meeting room, storerooms, canteen and first aid room
Fitted out changerooms with showers, toilets, seating benches, water fountain and hand wash basins
Construction of an all-access amenities block
Construction of separate male and female referee rooms, including showers and toilets
Construction of an external storeroom and bin storage area
Installation of landscaping including plants and turf
Outcomes
- JMac worked closely with the client, architects and subcontractors to address key design and architectural requirements early in delivery.
- Early coordination supported a smooth flow of construction and helped minimise costs.
- The team brought forward other activities to minimise the impact of fabrication delays while maintaining continuous monitoring of progress.
