In early 2006, JMac’s capacity received a substantial boost through the formation of a 50:50 joint venture with BMD Constructions, combining almost 60 years of industry expertise, experience and financial strength.
BMD Constructions is a wholly owned subsidiary of the BMD Group (BMD) – Australia’s largest privately owned civil construction and urban development organisation. BMD was established in Queensland in 1979 by Group Board Chairman and Managing Director Mick Power, AM. Still headquartered in South East Queensland, the Group operates under a diverse yet integrated business model which focuses on three key areas - construction, consulting and urban development.
Wholly Australian owned and operated, BMD has enjoyed strong and consistent growth, with an impressive track record of doubling its revenue every four years. The organisation has grown from an annual turnover of $600,000 in its first year, to $663.5 million in the 2007 / 2008 financial year and today employs approximately 1,300 people across the country.
