In early 2006, JMac’s capacity received a substantial boost through the formation of a 50:50 joint venture with BMD Constructions, combining almost 60 years of industry expertise, experience and financial strength. Following a successful four year joint venture, in April 2010 JMac became 100% owned by the BMD Group.
BMD Constructions is a wholly owned subsidiary of the BMD Group (BMD) – one of Australia’s largest privately owned civil construction and urban development organisation.
BMD was established in Queensland in 1979 by Group Board Chairman and Managing Director Mick Power AM. Still headquartered in South East Queensland, BMD operates with an integrated and flexible business model that enables the provision of specialist services across a wide range of industry sectors for both private and public clients.
Wholly Australian owned and operated, BMD has enjoyed strong and consistent growth since inception, achieving an annual turnover of $937m in the 2010 / 2011 financial year.
Today, approximately 1,200 BMD staff work throughout Australia, employing the values on which the organisation was founded to deliver outcomes of the greatest mutual benefit for all of us and those with whom we work.
